Datapoint: That doesn't appear to render as intended in Firefox 27.0.1 on Windows. All the bars are short stubs, one nbsp wide.

Weird - works for me in all the browsers I have to hand.

On closer inspection, it appears to be some kind of interaction with the LJ theme I'm using, since if I paste just the table into an empty HTML file and open that with FF27 on Windows, it works nicely.

Interesting. In my friends-page I can see the bars; if I go to http://fanf.livejournal.com/130428.html then they all go to length one.

The 'x' is presumably all the unicode xn-??? domains
